Workshops:

Workshops are a bunch of short classes designed to help with a specific skill. Generally Workshops are a single day.

Around the Studio Workshop (Bronze):
July 15th, 2021 - 12:30p-4:15p
Must be in 1st Grade or Older.
Many beginner dancers struggle because they do not know which class to try and they fear having to commit to an entire semester to a class that they may not enjoy or even like, let alone be good at. This workshop allows you to "sample" every class we offer at the Bronze level before committing to the semester. You will take one class in every style during this workshop. It gives you a chance to try new things and experience classes that you never thought about trying and finding out what you are good at and what your passion(s) really are. In this workshop we will cover. Poms, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap. Ballet, & Contemporary.

Around the Studio Workshop (Attache):
We will not be offering this program this year. (If you miss it please let us know and we will try to add it back to our schedule for 2023.)
Many dancers struggle because they do not get out of their own box. We get older and more advance and we start to decide which dance we love and are really good at and spend our time honing our skills in only that class. However, being a well-rounded dancer is something that is coveted and can help in any area of dance. This workshop allows you to "get out of your box" that you are in and experience new classes that you don't typically spend your time in. You will take one class in every style during this workshop. It gives you a chance to try new things and experience classes that maybe you never thought about trying, finding out new ways to move, and inspire creativity from outside your typical realm. In this workshop we will be covering Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, and Pre-Pointe.

Around the Studio Workshop (Silver):
We will not be offering this program this year. (If you miss it please let us know and we will try to add it back to our schedule for 2023.)
Not unlike the Attache level we will be covering all of above in the description as well as we spend time reviewing for the level exams that will be coming up for Silver Dancers. (There will also be a discount for those that want to take both Silver and Attache because they will be back to back.) - We will just have them bring a sack lunch so they can eat during the 30 minute break.

Mental Health Day (For Younger Children):
July 12th, 2022 - 9:00a-12:00p
Strongly Recommended for 1st Grade and Above.
We will be bringing in a clinician to speak with your children about mental health in a way they can understand. We will be covering fear, (what happens when we are afraid to be in a new class etc.) stress, (how to handle stressful situations like auditions, things with friends, etc.) body issues, (most the time body image issues start when they are young and aren't even aware of what thoughts their brain is telling them) and overall emotions (how to handle having a bad day or if something wasn't "perfect" the first time.)
The Clinician that will be giving this workshop is: Miss Erin Edwards.

Mental Health Day (For Older Children):
July 12, 2022 - 1:00p-4:00p
Please, review what we will be discussing and make your own choice whether your child is ready for these conversations.
We will be discussing our Mental Health and how having a healthy mind is the first part of being a healthy dancer. We will be discussing Anxiety, Depression, Suicide, Cutting, Anorexia, Bulimia, and other Mental Health Disorders. We will be discussing that many people have these and that if they feel some of these things they are not the only one. We will also be talking about the dangers of ignoring these issues and how to "live a full life" with them.
The Clinician that will be giving this workshop is: Miss Alyssa Thomas.

Intensives:

Intensives are designed for a particular style of dance and they are designed to grow and challenge you as a dancer. They are not easy and are not for the faint of heart.
