Summer Programs:

Our Summer Programs:

Thank you for being patient with us this summer as we figured out our new protocols, moved into our new space, and figured out a few other dilemmas as well. We appreciate it and hope to see you in the remainder of the summer and this coming fall.

Because of our new protocols we do have strict capacity rules to follow. Once we reach capacity we will no longer be accepting registrations for that program, however if you so desire we can place you on a waiting list.

Workshops:

Workshops are a short class designed to help with a specific skill. Generally Workshops are a single day.

Summer Boot(y) Camp:

     July 8th: ~ 1:00-5:00pm

          1st Grade- Adults

This workshop is designed for those that want to grow their dance skills and learn more about their body and how it is acting/ reacting during dance. You will get several dance "workout" routines to do at home to help you stay in shape between classes, you will also learn about certain muscle groups and which muscles you need to focus on for certain styles of dance, and you will also learn about injury awareness and how to prevent injuring or re-injuring your body during dance or any other sport. Note: this is not a dance class it is to learn how to train at home!!!

Around the Studio Workshop (Bronze):

     August 4th ~ 1:00pm-5:00pm

Many beginner dancers struggle because they do not know which class to try and they fear having to commit to an entire semester to a class that they may not enjoy or even like, let alone be good at. This workshop allows you to "sample" every class we offer at the Bronze level before committing to the semester. You will take one class in every style during this workshop. It gives you a chance to try new things and experience classes that you never thought about trying and finding out what you are good at and what your passion(s) really are. In this workshop we will cover. Poms, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap. Ballet, & Contemporary.

Around the Studio Workshop (Attache & Silver):

     August 5th ~ 1:00pm-4:45pm

Many dancers struggle because they do not get out of their own box. We get older and more advance and we start to decide which dance we love and are really good at and spend our time honing our skills in only that class. However, being a well-rounded dancer is something that is coveted and can help in any area of dance. This workshop allows you to "get out of your box" that you are in and experience new classes that you don't typically spend your time in. You will take one class in every style during this workshop. It gives you a chance to try new things and experience classes that maybe you never thought about trying, finding out new ways to move, and inspire creativity from outside your typical realm. In this workshop we will be covering Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, and Pointe.

Intensives:

Intensives are designed for a particular style of dance and they are designed to grow and challenge you as a dancer. They are not easy and are not for the faint of heart. You need to already have experience And at least be an intermediate I dancer in the designated style to register for the intensive.

Contemporary:

     July 15th: ~ 9:00a-1:00p

We will break down the different parts of Contemporary and Stylization but the main part of Contemporary is all about portraying a story. We will be refining our story telling skills during this Intensive as well as we will work through Technique, Center Barre, Across the Floor Exercises , Breathing Techniques, Combos, Improv, Movement Values, and More.

Jazz:

     July 16th: ~ 9:00a-1:00p

Jazz is a lot about technique and stylization while having grand expression. We will be working on expression during this intensive and how to be more expressive during our moments. We will also work through, Center Barre, Across the Floor, Breathing Techniques, Combos, Movement Values, and More.

Please note: unless other wise noted, the minimum to run a summer program is 3 enrolled students at least one week prior to the start date of the summer activity.  - Also we sold out many classes and camps last summer- please register and purchase your classes early to be guaranteed your spot!
