Our Summer 2024 Programs:
Summer 2024 is here! We are so excited about all the fun things we have planned for you this summer! Please, view the list below for all of our summer activities that we have available and we look forward to seeing you again full time when school starts again in August!
Please note: most of our summer activities reach capacity so if you have one in particular that you wish to attend please plan ahead.
Weekly Classes:
There are no "weekly" classes that will be held this coming summer. Due to the results of our survey that we sent out we have several programs that you said you would be interested in. Most of them are individual days allowing you to only pay for what you attend.
Professional Master Classes:
Master Classes are a short workshop with a professional dancer/performer from outside the studio. These are designed to help with a specific skill.
Brie Carrillo
August 1st, 2024 - 4:30p-7:30p
$75.00 (This includes all 3 Classes)
Must be in 1st Grade or Older. (Recommended to have at least one season of Jazz Training)
Jazz - Turn & Leaps - Jazz Funk
With more than 20 years experience she has instructed various dance studios, companies, organizations, and won numerous awards for her choreographic works over the years. She has developed and co-developed iDC and Western Colorado Dance Theater. You might have seen some of her works in the Grand Junction Area including "Frost, A Winter's Tale", "Wizard of Oz the Ballet", and "A Nightmare Before Christmas".
Brie Carrillo
October 5th, 2024 - 1:00p-4:00p
$75.00 (This includes all 3 Classes)
Must be in 1st Grade or Older. (Recommended to have at least one season of Contemporary or Ballet Training)
Contemporary - Technique Training - Lyrical
With more than 20 years experience she has instructed various dance studios, companies, organizations, and won numerous awards for her choreographic works over the years. She has developed and co-developed iDC and Western Colorado Dance Theater. You might have seen some of her works in the Grand Junction Area including "Frost, A Winter's Tale", "Wizard of Oz the Ballet", and "A Nightmare Before Christmas".
Sparkle's Activities/ Camps/ Classes:
These are designed for the Glimmer Sparkle's and Dazzle Sparkle's age groups. (2.5years old-7years old) For the camps your student should be comfortable separated from the parents/guardians for at least 30 minutes. It is not recommended for children that have high separation anxiety and need a parent/guardian's constant supervision to attend the "Camps" as they are much longer, move quickly, and have various activities.
Animal Camp
June 18th, 19th, & 20th, 2024 - 4:30p-5:30p
$30.00 (This includes all 3 Classes and the materials)
Must be between 2.5 - 7 years old.
Theme: Animals
This camp includes a share time, animal filled dance class (basic tap, ballet, & jazz movements), a simple craft, and an obstacle course game time.
Bluey Camp
August 6th & 8th, 2024 - 2:30p-4:00p
$40.00 (This includes 2 Classes and the materials)
Must be between 2.5 - 7 years old.
Theme: Bluey
This camp includes a share time, animal filled dance class (basic tap, ballet, & jazz movements), a simple craft, game time, snack (gold fish & water: if your student has allergies and/or you would rather them not eat our snack please pack them their own snack), movie time, story time, and an obstacle course game time.
Traditional Dance Class
July 3rd, 2024 - 3:30p-4:00p
$10.00 (This includes the class and the materials)
Must be between 2.5 - 7 years old.
This is a traditional dance class with the traditional Starbeam Studios' curriculum. (Basic tap, ballet, & jazz movements)
Workshops:
These are single day activities and classes to up your technique and skills or to try something new.
Acting 101
June 19th 2024 - 6:00p-7:30p
$20.00 (This includes the class and the materials)
Must be 1st Grade or Older.
This class will cover acting skills needed to be able to perform on stage, including memorization techniques, stage fright methods, characterization, and more.
Improv 101
June 20th, 2024 - 6:00p-7:30p
$20.00 (This includes the classes and the materials)
Must be 1st Grade or Older.
This class will cover basic improvisation skills needed to do improv acting. There will be many exercises and skills taught through various improv "games".
Intensives:
Intensives are designed to grow and challenge you as a dancer in the specific skill designated in the title. They are not easy and are not for the faint of heart. You need to already have experience and at least be an Intermediate I (That would be an Attache at our studio- unless previously approved by an instructor) dancer in the designated style to register for the intensive.
How To Audition
July 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, 2024 - 5:00p-8:00p
$80.00 (This includes all 3 days and the materials)
This intensive will take you through the audition process and work through many of the challenges that dancers and/or actors/actresses face in and during an audition. This intensive will include Mock Auditions, Fighting Stage Nerves, Professionalism, Ballet, Tap, Characterization, Picking Up Choreography, Utilizing Warm Up Time, Jazz, Emoting, Contemporary, Counting Choreography verses Lyrical Choreography, Hip Hop, Strengthening, Stretching, Hair, Makeup, A Q&A sessions, and more.
A Rounded Performer
August 5th-9th, 2024 - 4:30p-8:00p
$130.00 (This includes all 5 days and the materials)
This intensive will stretch your skills as a performer and take you through all the facets of being a good performer. This intensive will include a general class in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, turning, leaps, freezing/ stalls, improvisation, traveling, strengthening, stretching, rhythm, choreographing, partner dancing, as well as, body maintenance, hair and make up how to, nutritional guides, characterization, and more.

Studio Fun Nights:
We have had many requests for Private Lessons over the summer. Below are the listed times for private lessons with our various instructors over the summer. All private lessons and times are on a first come, first serve basis. Once the private lesson slot(s) are gone you may be put on a wait list for any cancelations that may occur.
ALL private lessons must be paid in order to hold your spot. Private Lessons are in very high demand and require preparation and time from the instructors ahead of time. This "holding" deposit will not be refunded. Upon booking style of lesson is required.

Each private lesson is booked in 30 minute start to finish lessons.
These are activities designed for everyone to come and just have a good time being together over the summer. There are no "classes" and no "educational" purposes to these activities- it is just about us coming together to be a family! Although, these are free events you must still fill out a registration form. (Emergency Contacts, Food Allergies, Medical Conditions, etc.)
Ultimate Game Night:
July 2nd, 2024 - 3:00p-5:00p
FREE Event for Studio Members ONLY
There are lots of fun party games planned for this event! You will not want to miss out on all the giggles that are bound to happen. Below is a list of games and the order we will play them in. These events are for Studio Member's only. Please be sure that you are able to play the games and are willing to play the games if you plan to attend.

Please note: unless other wise noted, the minimum to run a summer program is 3 enrolled students at least one week prior to the start date of the summer activity. - Also we sell out of many classes and camps during the summer- please register and purchase your classes early to be guaranteed your spot!
