Workshops:

Workshops are a bunch of short classes designed to help with a specific skill. Generally Workshops are a single day.

Around the Studio Workshop (Bronze):

July 15th, 2021 - 12:30p-4:15p

Must be in 1st Grade or Older.

Many beginner dancers struggle because they do not know which class to try and they fear having to commit to an entire semester to a class that they may not enjoy or even like, let alone be good at. This workshop allows you to "sample" every class we offer at the Bronze level before committing to the semester. You will take one class in every style during this workshop. It gives you a chance to try new things and experience classes that you never thought about trying and finding out what you are good at and what your passion(s) really are. In this workshop we will cover. Poms, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap. Ballet, & Contemporary.

Around the Studio Workshop (Attache):

July 13th, 2021 - 11:30a-3:15p

Many dancers struggle because they do not get out of their own box. We get older and more advance and we start to decide which dance we love and are really good at and spend our time honing our skills in only that class. However, being a well-rounded dancer is something that is coveted and can help in any area of dance. This workshop allows you to "get out of your box" that you are in and experience new classes that you don't typically spend your time in. You will take one class in every style during this workshop. It gives you a chance to try new things and experience classes that maybe you never thought about trying, finding out new ways to move, and inspire creativity from outside your typical realm. In this workshop we will be covering Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, and Pre-Pointe.

Around the Studio Workshop (Silver):

July 13th, 2021 - 9:00a-11:15a

Not unlike the Attache level we will be covering all of above in the description as well as we spend time reviewing for the level exams that will be coming up for Silver Dancers. (There will also be a discount for those that want to take both Silver and Attache because they will be back to back.) - We will just have them bring a sack lunch so they can eat during the 30 minute break.

Body Awareness Workshop:

July 29th, 2021 - 1:30p-5:30p

Strongly Recommended for 3rd Grade and Above.

We will be bringing in several different Clinicians to talk you through your body awareness. Dance is more than just using your body during class. This workshop is to help you practice at home, grow your muscles, avoid burn out, and achieve some goals that you may have been working towards. We will have a fitness expert, nutrition expert, dance injury specialist, mental awareness expert, and more. We will talk about how to prevent burn out in not just your body but your mind as well.

Intensives:

Intensives are designed for a particular style of dance and they are designed to grow and challenge you as a dancer. They are not easy and are not for the faint of heart. You need to already have experience and at least be an Intermediate I (That would be an Attache at our studio- unless previously approved by an instructor) dancer in the designated style to register for the intensive.

Contemporary:

July 27th, 2021 - 2:00p-4:30p

We will break down the different parts of Contemporary and Stylization but the main part of Contemporary is all about portraying a story. We will be refining our story telling skills during this Intensive as well as we will work through Technique, Center Barre, Across the Floor Exercises , Breathing Techniques, Combos, Improv, Movement Values, and More.

Tap:

July 15th, 2021 - 9:00a-11:30p

Tap is a lot about technique and rhythm while having great expression. We will be working on timing and the specific move techniques during this intensive as well as the stylization that is required to make tap stand out. We will also work through, Center Barre, Across the Floor, Arm Movement Values, and More.

Studio Fun Nights:

These are activities designed for everyone to come and just have a good time being together over the summer. There are no "classes" and no "educational" purposes to these activities- it is just about us coming together to be a family!

Movie Night:

June 21st, 2021 - 6:00p-8:45p

We will have a snack time and "greeting/ social time" then we watch the movie together and then you will go home for the evening. (Snacks will be traditional movie snacks) The Movie we will be showing is Leap!

We invite all studio members of all ages to join us but we do ask that you take in mind the activity and what we are doing.

Fashion Photo Shoot Lock-In:

July 16th-17th, 2021 - 4:00p-8:30a

This for Studio Members Grades 3rd-Adults - However it is recommended for 5th Grade and older.  We will fix their hair and make up and will have lots of different outfits for them to try on for the photo shoot with professional photographer. Then we will sleep in the studio over night. (There will be a room for boys and a separate room for girls.)  - We are recommending the age group just because we are sleeping over night at the studio and it is quite noisy being on Main Street over night.

Please note: unless other wise noted, the minimum to run a summer program is 3 enrolled students at least one week prior to the start date of the summer activity.  - Also we sold out many classes and camps last summer- please register and purchase your classes early to be guaranteed your spot!
